Supporting Long-Term Recovery
Recovery is a process that takes a lifetime. Support is key to making recovery easier. By guiding you through the recovery process and connecting you with support groups, drug rehab prepares you to live a healthy life. Support options are available to anyone, whether you're in treatment or supporting someone you love.
Only a few people with addiction seek treatment because of the perceived high cost. However, rehab costs are small in comparison to the health and social risks of avoiding treatment. These can be prevented by seeking treatment immediately.
Millions of Americans struggle with addiction each day. A U.S. surgeon-general report from 2016 estimates that almost 21 million Americans suffer with a substance use disorder. Only 10% receive substance abuse treatment.
Why? This is partly because of the cost. The cost of treatment was a major factor in the fact that almost 40% of Americans with substance use disorders didn't get to rehab between 2011-2014. They either couldn't afford it, or they didn’t have insurance.
However, the cost of treatment is much less than that of addiction. Insurance can reduce the cost of rehab, which many people don't know. New laws require that insurance companies cover treatment for mental illness and addiction.
How much does rehab cost?
There are many levels of care at addiction centers throughout the country. Prices vary for each one. People suffering from severe substance use disorders may need more intensive and extended treatment. Standard treatment is generally more expensive than intensive care.
